i am aout 5'9 weigh 117.4 pounds and was wondering what size i should get this shirt?

Your height falls in the XL (US M) size of the item while your weight falls in the Medium (US XS) size.
This is based on general size chart we are using in our shop for normal body built (not fat or muscular).
It does not guarantee 100% free of size discrepancy, as body built varies.
But, it works most of the time for our customers.

-US XS size = ~5'5", 115 lbs
-US S size = ~5'7", 135 lbs
-US M size = ~5'9", 155 lbs
-US L size = ~5'11", 175 lbs
-US XL size = ~6'1", 195 lbs
Your body might fit in the US XS size of the item as it covers a person weighing 115 lbs but I'm afraid that it will appear short for your height and sleeves.
In this case, it will be better if you will check the size chart of the item under the item's Info & Care.
In there, you will have further details about the measurement of chest, shoulder, sleeve, and total length of the item in each sizes.
Please be guided that measurements are done in cross-section (measuring across from one side to the other/ not the circumference)
